Facing new challenges In addition to the increasing need for services due to tough economic times, Michigan has experienced a tremendous influx of refugees due to the situations in the Middle East. The increased number of refugees has resulted in a high demand for ACC DHS services and an increasing work load. ACC, in an effort to continue and improve support for refugees, has joined the Refugee Council USA (RCUSA). RCUSA is just one resource needed to assist in meeting the needs of incoming refugees.
