Scholarship Opportunities The financial need of students is substantial and the need for scholarships is great. Scholarships help intelligent and capable, but financially disadvantaged students. Without support, many students are challenged to balance the time commitment to their studies with the responsibilities of personal and in many cases, family needs.
The following is a list of resources for scholarship opportunities. Arab American and Chaldean Council (ACC) ACC’s Scholarship Awards Program is available once a year to graduating high school seniors.
Lebanese American Heritage Club Arab American Scholarship Foundation (AASF) program AASF provides over 60 scholarships annually to deserving Arab American students of high academic distinction. GILMAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM The Gilman International Scholarship Program provides awards of up to $5,000 for U.S. undergraduate students to study abroad for up to one academic year. The program aims to diversify the kinds of student who study abroad and the countries and regions where they go. The Gilman Program seeks to assist students from a diverse range and type of two-year and four-year public and private institutions from all 50 states. The ELA Scholarship program provides financial assistance from $500-$2000 for women with physical disabilities who are in graduate school allowing them to pursue their degree, and develop their leadership role within the disability community. Up to five grants will be awarded, each grant not to exceed $1000, and the grant may be used to pay for the tuition for a course or postsecondary program at a local college, educational institution, learning center or employment training program.
