KROGER SUPPORTS ACC YOUTH SERVICES
Detroit, MI
- March 16, 2007 ACC, a non-profit human service
organization has received $2,000 for its Youth
Recreation & Leadership Center and programs from The Kroger Co. The youth centers innovative educational and
recreational youth programs focus on youth related issues such as life
skills, substance abuse, smoking cessation, HIV/AIDS prevention, computer
literacy training, and teen health education.
ACC’s After School
Programs provided over 250 youth ages 9-18 with homework assistance,
academic tutoring, life skills building, service learning, computer skills
training, leadership training, health education and promotion, and conflict
resolution. Other activities include recreational activities, guest
presentations, and hands-on activities.
Arab American and Chaldean Council
ACC
is the largest non-profit human service organization to provide services to
the Middle Eastern Community in Southeast Michigan.
