GLS Searches for Arabic Interpreters to Support Operation

MI - May 22, 2007 The Arab American and Chaldean Council
(ACC) and Global Linguist Solutions (GLS) are hosting a job fair on May 23
to find Arabic linguists to support U.S. Army operations in Iraq.The job
fair will be held at the ACC Detroit Headquarters, at 111 W. Seven Mile
Road, from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
GLS,
a company dedicated to providing translators and interpreters in support of
national security, is accepting resumes for Arabic linguists, as well as
management and support positions.
Interpreters
will provide general linguistic support for military operations and will
interpret and translate during interviews, meetings, and conferences.
Prospective candidates are required to have an excellent command of Arabic
as well as strong verbal and written American English skills (grammar,
vocabulary, idioms, and spelling). Selected applicants are also expected to
possess a U.S.
passport or a green card.
GLS

interpretation and translation services.

The Arab American and Chaldean Council (ACC), established in
1979 as a single office grass-roots neighborhood social service
organization, has developed into America's
largest human services center. The ACC serves not only the Arab-American and
Chaldean community, but also those in need who live in the multiethnic
neighborhoods of the 39 ACC outreach offices in the Tri-County Area.
Since
its inception, ACC has provided a wealth of human services to newly arrived
refugees and immigrants from more than 10 different countries - assisting
them with legal and immigration services, citizenship, asylum, and family
reunification. A nationally accredited bi-cultural, tri-lingual (Arabic,
Chaldean and English) professional Behavioral Health Program provides
transitional assistance, while ESL (English as a Second Language),
Displaced Homemakers Programs, and Employment Counseling and Training
program assist newly arrived immigrants and refugees enter the workforce.
ACC provides public health services, primary health care, women's services,
youth services, and many other services.
